When the temperature drops and the fireplaces light up, celebrate with a mug of hot chocolate and one of our winter cookie gifts. Our Chocolate Chip Cookies  favors and Winter Melting Snowman Cookies are just some of our unique and fresh-baked winter cookies.

1 Chocolate Chip Cookies

Ingredients

  • 180g butter, softened
  • ⅓ cup (75g) caster sugar
  • ½ cup (125mL) NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 1½ cups (225g) self raising flour
  • 250g NESTLÉ Dark CHOC BITS
  • ½ cup (95g) NESTLÉ White CHOC BITS

Instructions 

  • Using an electric mixer, cream butter and sugar together until creamy; beat in NESTLÉ sweetened condensed milk.
  • Add flour, NESTLÉ dark choc bits and NESTLÉ white choc bits, mix well.
  • Roll heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls. place on prepared trays, allowing plenty of room for spreading; press gently with a fork.
  • Bake for 15 minutes until golden.

 

2 Apricot Truffles

Apricot Truffles

Ingredients

  • 1 cup (150g) coarsley chopped dried apricots
  • 1 tbsp rum
  • ½ cup (125mL) NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 60g butter, softenend
  • 2 tbsp NESTLÉ Baking Cocoa
  • 1 cup (70g) cake crumbs
  • 1 cup (80g) desiccated coconut
  • 200g PLAISTOWE Premium Milk Chocolate
  • 20g copha, white vegetable shortening
  • NESTLÉ Baking Cocoa, extra, for dusting

Apricot and Coconut truffles

 

Instructions

  • Soak apricots in rum 10 minutes or place in a microwave safe bowl, cover and cook on high (100%) for 1 minute.
  • Combine NESTLÉ sweetened condensed milk, butter, NESTLÉ baking cocoa, cake crumbs, coconut and apricots, mixing well. roll heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls; refrigerate 30 minutes.
  • Place plaistowe premium milk chocolate and copha in a microwave safe bowl. microwave on high (1005) for 2 minutes, stir.
  • Coat truffles in chocolate, drain off excess; place on trays lined with baking paper and refrigerate until set. dust with extra NESTLÉ baking cocoa if desired.

 

3 Melting Snowman Cookies

Melting Snowman Cookies

Ingredients

  • 125g butter, at room temperature
  • ½ cup (110g) caster sugar
  • ¼ cup (60mL) milk
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup (70g) custard powder
  • 290g pkt NESTLÉ BAKERS’ CHOICE White Melts, melted, plus 1 cup (150g), melted, extra
  • 16 white marshmallows
  • Green, red, orange and black food colouring
  • 2 tsp vegetable oil
  • 50g NESTLÉ SMARTIES

Melting Snowman Cookies

 

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°C/ 160°C fan forced. Grease and line two baking trays with baking paper.
  • Using an electric mixer beat butter and sugar until pale and creamy. Add in milk and vanilla extract. Fold in flour and custard powder.
  • Press dough into a ball and wrap in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for 30 minutes to rest.
  • Divide dough into three portions. Roll out one portion on a sheet of non-stick baking paper to about ½ cm thick. Using an 8cm round cookie cutter, cut rounds and place on the trays. Bake for 15 minutes or until light golden. Cool for 5 minutes on the trays before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely. Repeat with remaining dough.
  • Once cookies are cooled, carefully dip into melted NESTLÉ BAKERS’ CHOICE White MELTS. Working quickly attach a marshmallow onto cookie as show in picture. Leave for 5 minutes or until choc has set.
  • In 4 small bowls add extra melted NESTLÉ BAKERS’ CHOICE White Melts and evenly divide oil into bowls, add individual food colouring into each bowl, stir to combine. Pour individual colours into separate piping bags fitted with small round nozzles and decorate with NESTLÉ SMARTIES according to picture.

 

4 Hazelnut Cookies and Cream Truffles

Ingredients

  • 125g cream cheese, softened
  • ½ cup (125mL) NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 tbsp Irish cream liqueur
  • ½ cup (70g) chopped toasted hazelnuts
  • 125g plain chocolate biscuits, roughly chopped
  • 375g pkt NESTLÉ Dark Melts
  • 30g copha, white vegetable shortening

Instructions

  • Beat cream cheese, NESTLÉ sweetened condensed milk and irish cream until smooth. fold in hazelnuts and biscuits, mix well; cover and refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Roll heaped teaspoonfuls of mixture into balls, refrigerate 1 hour.
  • Place NESTLÉ dark melts and copha in a heatproof bowl over simmering water until melted. coat balls in chocolate, place on a tray lined with baking paper and refrigerate until set.

Chocolate Bunny Cakes

Ingredients

  • 150g butter, softened
  • ¾ cup (190mL) NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • 2 eggs
  • 1½ cups (225g) self raising flour
  • 2 tbsp NESTLÉ Baking Cocoa
  • ½ cup (125mL) milk
  • coloured cachous, for decoration
  • chocolate sprinkles, for decoration
  • marshmallows, for decoration
  • FROSTING:
  • 60g butter, softened
  • 1½ cups (240g) icing sugar
  • ½ cup (125mL) NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk
  • ⅔ cup (100g) NESTLÉ Dark Melts, melted

Instructions

  • Preheat oven to 180°c/160°c fan forced. line a 12 hole (1/3 cup/80ml) muffin pan with paper cases.
  • Beat butter and NESTLÉ sweetened condensed milk until light and creamy, beat in eggs. fold in sifted flour and NESTLÉ baking cocoa alternatively with milk.
  • Spoon mixture evenly into prepared muffin pan. bake 15 minutes or until cooked, cool on a wire rack.
  • frosting
  • Combine butter, icing sugar and NESTLÉ Sweetened Condensed Milk in a bowl; using electric beaters, beat until creamy. set aside ½ cup for the face.
  • Combine NESTLÉ Dark Melts with remaining frosting, beat well.
