Nokia used to be one of the world’s biggest mobile phone manufacturers but it fell behind with the advent of iPhone and Android smartphones. In 2014, Nokia’s Devices and Services division was sold to Microsoft. In 2016, Finnish company HMD Global bought a part of Microsoft’s feature phone business and has a licensing agreement that allows it to make smartphones under the Nokia brand.

About Nokia 7

Nokia 7 smart phone comes with a 5.20-inch IPS LCD capacitive touch screen display (protected by corning gorilla glass) with a resolution of 1080 x 1920 pixel. The device sports android 7.1.1 nougat operating system and powered by 1.8GHz octa-core qualcomm snapdragon 630 processor. It features 4GB/6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded up to 128GB via a external memory card. The handset packs with a 16MP primary camera on the rear and a 5MP secondary camera on the front for selfies. It has a 3000mAh non removable battery and does not support fast charging. The weight of the phone is 160.00 gram (expected) and dimensions are 141.20 x 71.40 x 7.90 mm (height x width x thickness).

Connectivity options include headphones, Wi-Fi, loud speaker, GPS, bluetooth v5.0, NFC, 2G,3G and 4G VoLTE. Sensors on the phone include magnetometer, gyroscope, proximity, compass and ambient light sensor. The smart phone was launched in October 2017 and price in India starts from Rs. 25,000 for the 4GB RAM variant and Rs. 27,000 for the 6GB RAM variant.
